We had lunch yesterday.
A cheered up J.
We did some observing and discussed blogs.
Observed Amy Goodman's Democracy Now news programme www.democracynow.org and in particular a debate between Fmr. Israeli Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben Ami and Professor Norman Finkelstein on Israel, the Palestinians, and the Peace Process. My problem is
I had lots of ideas as a young man but I didn't have the drive and persuasive power to put them over. I guess this is true of a million other people? What do you think?

graphic sarcasm by Josh Kutchinsky
only the once proud
bridle at the lampoon
which draws mock blood
as winter darkened nights
encourage blunter weapons
to wound a nervous skin
enter the lists
seers and doers
now rabbled on dusty squares
flaming mondrian designs
slammed and beaten stick men
abstract figures flagging up
an emblematic stoning
for distant danish devils
burning bushes
proud of empire
scratching godwords
for a prophet forecast
of stormy troopers
trampling sacred fabled fictions
harshly punishing fabulous facts
disneyed in the glare
of fabricated animated outrage
immobilised bowed down
submitting to be-little
to mickey-take mouse-like
those brought low in
dashed off hurried clashes
false muezzin’s lament
slicing
tilting at benighted landscapes
concrete towers
ruined facts
smoke betraying
tales of grim
and dusky wanderers deserted
